When owning your own ant farm there is more to do than to just watch them burrow their way around. There is also the maintenance that comes with an ant farm as well. You need to take good care of them to keep them alive. Here are the 2 things you need to keep in mind for your ant farm:
1: Moisture:
- Make sure your sand is not to dry.
- Also make sure the sand in the ant farm isn’t muddy either.
- Make sure the sand in the ant farm is between dry and muddy.
- This will keep them building their tunnels.
2: Food and Water:
- Ants like sweet foods.
- You can try giving them biscuit crumbs to feed on.
- Drop a few drops of water onto a sponge and break the pieces off into the ant farm.
Make sure not to water or feed the ants too much. Ants are clean insects that will take the extra food they do not eat to a disposable area in their home.
