Army ants are usually very active and aggressive types of ants, army ants do not construct permanent nests, they live in temporary nests which they themselves make by linking their own bodies together. These ants move their army for the search of prey that include spiders, insects, and other ants.

You can find around 150 species of army ants, each army consisting of nearly a million members. Army ants have extremely painful sting but they don't attack humans unless or until they are provoked.

Mostly army ants are found in tropical regions of the world and some of the species of army ants are found in North and South America.
